Giesecke & Devrient and Encap to collaborate in mobile authentication

The agreement on collaboration was made under the partner program participation agreement of Giesecke & Devrient GmbH and regulates joint marketing of solutions towards customers and joint promotional activities.
G&D and Encap have partnered to provide the banking industry with a mobile authentication alternative to traditional hardware-based tokens.

Encap delivers a patented two-factor mobile authentication solution that use the mobile phone as a security device for online user authentication. Encap turns an ordinary mobile phone into a "proof of possession” element for two-factor authentication. The same mobile phone can be used as a security device for different online services, replacing other hardware tokens, like TAN lists, code calculators, etc.
