Encap will be presenting in Barcelona as a European Venture Contest 2007 finalist.
Encap AS has been awarded a patent for "a method and system for secure user authentication using a personal data terminal".
EDB Business Partner has entered into a licensing agreement with Encap. Encap’s product for user authentication on mobile phones will be integrated in EDB’s Secure Access solution.

The collaboration and commitment from EDB and Encap was a vital factor of success in realizing the service. Encap is our preferred OTP-solution for generating a security code. Today, implemented in our online bank for authentication and payment confirmation as well as authentication of online card payments (3DSecure). This is very important for Card-Not-Present (CNP) transactions."
Storebrand Bank was responsible for the audit process towards Bankenes Standardiseringskontor, BSK (Norwegian Banking Standards Office) to ensure that Encap became approved for use with Norwegian BankID.
