Danish focus on mobile authentication
Representatives from leading bank/finance, private and public institutions from Denmark were invited to learn more about software-based solutions and services aimed to ease individual authentication via mobile phone.
Mr. Jørg Willy Bronebakk, Ambassador to Denmark, made opening remarks, followed by Børge Brende, Managing Director, World Economic Forum. Mr. Brende focused on the road ahead after the recent collapse of the financial sector.
Mr. Hasse Iwarsson and Mr. Christian Testman presented the Encap mobile two-factor authentication solution; high-lighting the need for a software-based mobile service authentication to heighten security, reduce fraud within financial and public authentication services.
Mr. Kenneth Haugland, EDB Business Partner explained and demonstrated how they provide their banking customers with the Encap solution on their security platform, SecureAccess. It included a demonstration of the live Storebrand Bank mobile authentication solution, supported by input from Mr. Trygve Dahl, CIO, Storebrand Bank.
Mr. Christian Erichsen, CEO of MobileTech further explained the need for new, web-based services aligned with the mobile environment. Focus was on security as a competitive element in heightened availability and user experience.
Mr. Bjørn Sloth, CMO of Systek followed with explanations on how heightened personal information security can be added towards public, enterprise, telco, bank and financial services using the mobile as a key differentiator going forward.
Mr. Per Lysthauge, EDB Bank & Finance, Denmark made closing remarks.
The event was facilitated by Innovation Norway, and attracted key people from Danish government and private companies, with a focus on the financial sector.
